What is Animaldle?
Animaldle is a free daily animal guessing game — think “Wordle for animals”. Each day there is one secret animal, and your job is to guess the animal in eight tries. Every guess reveals how close you are across seven traits, so each clue narrows it down.

Type any animal name and submit it. The grid colours each trait — green for an exact match, yellow for a partial match, grey for none — and arrows point toward the answer for numeric traits. Keep your streak going and share your result.

What is Animaldle?
Animaldle is a free daily animal guessing game — a bit like Wordle, but for animals. Each day there is one mystery animal, and you try to identify it in eight guesses using clues about its class, diet, habitat, continent, weight, lifespan and conservation status.
How do you play Animaldle?
Type the name of any animal as a guess. After each guess, the grid shows how close you are: green means an exact match on that trait, yellow means a partial match (for example, you share a continent), and grey means no match. Arrows ▲▼ point toward the answer for weight, lifespan and conservation status.
Is Animaldle free?
Yes. Animaldle is completely free to play, with a new animal every day and an unlimited practice mode.
Is there a new animal every day?
Yes — a new mystery animal is released every day, the same for everyone. You can also play the unlimited practice mode for as many random animals as you like.
Where does the animal data come from?
Every animal is shown with a real photograph and real, sourced data — no AI-generated images or text. Data is assembled from open scientific sources including Wikidata, the IUCN Red List, AnAge, PanTHERIA, EltonTraits and GBIF.
